Es Migjorn Gran is a small town situated in the south of Minorca, and was founded in the mid-18th century. In 1768, a group of people began the construction of the Church of Sant Cristòfol, around which the town began to spread. It has been a town in its own right since 1989, with some 1,500 inhabitants who are known for their friendliness and warmth.
